Privacy Policy
The plain-English version: Grey Gecko Press values your privacy as much as we value our own. This website doesn’t sell anything directly, so we don’t collect payment details. If you contact us or sign up for news, we use what you give us only to answer you or send what you asked for. We never sell or share your information, and we never send spam.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how Grey Gecko Press (“we,” “us”) handles information from visitors to greygeckopress.com (the “Site”).
Buying our books
We don’t take orders or payments on this Site. Our “buy” buttons send you to other companies, such as IngramSpark (print books) and Books2Read (which links to stores selling ebooks, audiobooks, and print editions). When you buy from them, their privacy policies apply, not ours. We don’t receive your payment details.
Information you give us
If you email us or fill in a form, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your name and email address. We use it only to reply to you or to do what you asked.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the Site’s server and security tools record technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. We use it to keep the Site secure (for example, to block spam and malicious traffic) and to understand how the Site is used. If you leave a comment, it may be checked by an automated spam-filtering service.
Cookies
The Site uses a small number of cookies to make it work properly and to protect it from abuse. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work, though some features may not.
Our authors’ privacy
We don’t publish our authors’ personal email addresses or other personal contact details on this Site. To reach one of our authors, email info@greygeckopress.com and we’ll pass your message along.
Sharing your information
We don’t sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only when the law requires us to, or with service providers who help run the Site (such as our web host) and who may use it only for that purpose.
Links to other websites
The Site links to stores, social media, and authors’ own websites. We don’t control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Children
The Site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date below. Please check this page now and then to stay informed.
