One of our founding principles here at the Gecko is to be an active and supportive part of our community, and one of the biggest ways we do that is to provide free ebooks to all active-duty US military personnel.

As part of this effort, we originally coordinated with Operation eBook Drop, created by author Ed Patterson and supported by Mark Coker. Thousands of authors and tens of thousands of books were sent out to military men and women serving overseas in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere. I’m sad to say that Operation eBook Drop is no longer in operation, as of April, but that doesn’t mean Grey Gecko will stop our continued support of our troops!

We’re dedicated to helping those who protect and defend the freedoms we hold so dear to have a little piece of normalcy in their difficult lives, and to that end, we’re going to maintain our own Operation eBook Drop for as long as we can. What does this mean?

It’s simple, really: We will email, at no cost, our entire ebook library to anyone who has an active US military email account. All we ask is that they not copy the books for non-military personnel, and, if they have a chance, review the books when they’re done. That’s it.

So if you know someone who’s active duty in any branch of the US military (including the Coast Guard), send an email to activeduty@greygeckopress.com with the email address to forward the books to, and we’ll put them on the list. They’ll immediately receive our entire current catalog, and will receive new books and stories as they’re released.

A most sincere and heartfelt thanks go out from everyone at Grey Gecko Press to our fine men and women protecting our freedoms. Be safe out there, heroes, and come back to us!
