Once again, Grey Gecko has entered some of our titles in the annual “IPPY” Awards. These awards are internationally known and well-respected in the publishing community, and we’re happy to be able to participate.
Conducted annually, the Independent Publisher Book Awards honor the year’s best independently published titles from around the world. Celebrating our 18th anniversary, we are now accepting entries for books with 2013 or 2014 copyrights or were released between July 1, 2012 and March 15, 2014.
As some of you no doubt remember, last year, we entered two of our titles in the IPPYs, Lunch With Charlotte and Horse, both by Leon Berger. Horse won the 2013 Silver Medal for the Best Adult Fiction eBook, and we couldn’t be prouder to continue the tradition this year of submitting excellent new books by independent authors.
In 2014, we’re submitting the following books to the awards. We wish all our authors the very best of luck. These excellent books are just a few of the great titles we have, so make sure to find the rest of our books on our online store!
For the “Fantasy/Science Fiction” category at the National level and in the eBook category, Spindown by George Wright Padgett, and Aristeia: Tree of Liberty by Wayne Basta.
In the Young Adult category for both National and eBook, and in the Northeast-Fiction regional category, Greystone Valley by Charlie Brooks.
In the national Humor, Southeast Fiction regional, and Best Adult Fiction ebook categories, Seashells, Gator Bones, and the Church of Everlasting Liability: Stories from a Small Florida Town in the 1930s by Susan Adger.
And finally, in the national Historical Fiction, regional Southeast Fiction, and Best Adult Fiction eBook categories: Beneath Hallowed Ground by Steven P. Locklin.
